** Miscellaneous **

Yo, once awhile I will update some miscellaneous fotos here.

Had bought a new Digi and mobile phone lately. My previous Olympus was disastrous, and it was high time to get a new one. I was initially choosing between Canon and Panasonic. In the end, my choice was Panasonic Lumix FX33 which I bought it before Chinese New Year. Hopefully, it won't disappoint me like Olympus.
As for my mobile phone, I'm always a Nokia user, thus, no change in the brand. I have tried Sony Ericsson in the past, but realli can't adhere to its functions. Settled with Nokia 6500 slide, as my fav N95 8Gb is too costly. Wherelse, Nokia 6500 slide was "zero" price. *Tsk Tsk*
Well, as long as its camera function is up to standard and easy to use (yeah, I'm a simple gal, using a simple phone)! Other than that is minority!

Yesterday attended Kaden's baby shower, ooohhh, lovely boy, his tiny nose is quite sharp. Managed to take a few photos of him, as his eyes are still sensitive to light, I did not switch on the flash and the curtains were drawn in the room. So photos abit dark...heeee!!! (Managed to brighten up the colours slightly)

Bought Baby Kaden a bear bear!

Isn't Kaden adorable...?
Discovered a gadget by his cot. It was a kind of player that plays the sound of a womb. So the baby will feel as though still inside Mummy's womb...!!??? Interesting...very interesting...! (forgot to take foto of that) *faint*

Oki, below are some photos taken with Nokia 6500 slide. I thought the quality was not as good as my previous N73 though both are of 3megapixels. U decided for youself.

** The Week After Taipei's Trip **

Back to work on Wednesday, 12Mar.
Bought some Taiwan snacks for my colleagues. Not very bad, at least only three more working days onli.

Friday came pretty soon, after work, met up with Dar at Tiong Bahru. After dinner at the newly-opened Ajisen Ramen, we went to watch a movie "Rule #1". It was a nice show, quite scary, I gave it a ***1/2 out of *****.

Saturday, 15Mar.
Went to pick my parents and had lunch at Old Airport Rd hawker centre. My sisters, Thomas and Tammie took a cab down from Tampines and met us there too. Today, we have a date with One degree 15 nestled in Sentosa Cove.

My bro-in-law had a complimentary one nite stay in this new club, thus, invited us to spend the day there.

Upon reaching there, we were welcomed by a scenic view of the sea...hahaha...actually not lah. We were greeted by many yachts at the berth. As the area is still developing, we can see on-going construction on the opposite side.

After checking in at the lobby, we were brought to the room by the staff. And to our delight, the room has a view facing the berth and it was even better than some hotel rooms.

Tammie demonstrating how to watch tv and take a nice bubble bath at the same time...!!! =P

View of the berth from the balcony.
Sorry frens, this is an incomplete post...have been very busy at work lately. Simply got no time to blog this week. I will update the backlog this weekend if possible! *cross my fingers*
Meanwhile, stay tune!!!

** Day 4 - Going Home...再见了,台北!!! **

Heading back to Singapore in the evening. Dar and I will be taking different airline but the time difference was only 25mins. Dar will reach Singapore first.

We still have the afternoon to do some last min shopping.
Hence, we decided to go to "台北101", which will be the last stop of our trip.

It was drizzling again after we had breakfast in the hotel restaurant.

We took a train to 市政府 and walked a short distance to the famous shopping area "新光三越" which housed all the branded boutiques. We were not attracted to the shopping mall, instead we took photos of the buildings around that area. We also went to this shopping mall called "New York, New York". There was a replica of the Statue of Liberty outside the mall, and the cutest of all was, the status was carrying a huge Marks & Spencer shopping bag. =D

We had lunch at a foodcourt and then went back to "西门丁" to do last min shopping. I bought a bag for myself and a stuff toy (七仔) for Tammie. A taxi will be picking us at 3.15pm as the journey to the airport take about 45mins to an hour depending on the road condition. We left the hotel on the dot!

When I reached Singapore, it was closed to 11.30pm. Dar took the sky train from terminal 2 to terminal 1, he waited for me to check out of the custom, we then took a cab home!

Fortunately, I took leave for the following day, so that I can have ample rest.
The trip finally came to an end. Though a short trip, I enjoyed it. Most importantly, I bought quite alots of stuffs which were all good bargain!!!

My own 七仔!!!

** 台北 - Day 3 (士林夜市篇) **

As 阳明山 trip came to an end, we continued the night at 士林夜市 for dinner. We met up with another Taiwanese couple and their young daughter at 士林!

What else can I say, lots of food. It's not possible to try every stall. We had western food, "甜不辣", some "海鲜庚", oyster omelette and "青蛙下蛋"! How can I not put on few kilos when I'm back in Singapore! But who cares!
美食难以抗拒! It will be very silly of me not to try nice food! =P
The chicken chop was succulent and given plenty of sauce, so not too dry!
The oyster omelette was topped with sweet sauce, it was tangy!!!
After a hearty meal, we continued to shop at 士林, they have nite bazaar selling lots of stuffs too! Numerous pet shops along the streets. It was very, very crowded!
As our Taiwanese friends got to work the next day, and they have to drive back to "新竹", we've decided not to disturb them further. We went separate ways at the streets of 士林 after bidding farewell. They have been very nice hosts, taking the trouble of travelling all the way to Taipei to bring us around. Realli appreciate their kindness! When they come over to Singapore in future, I will be a good host to them too! Hee!!!
Dar and I then shopped at 士林 before taking the MRT back to our hotel! Another tiring day!
Going back to Singapore tomorrow evening, 有一点不舍.

** 台北 - Day 3 (阳明山篇) **

Today, we will not be travelling alone. Dar's suppliers in Taiwan, Ricky and girlfren, Ivy came down from 新竹 and brought us to "阳明山" for sight-seeing and "士林夜市" to try their local cuisine. It was the biggest 夜市 in Taipei.

Ricky and Ivy came to our hotel to pick us. He then drove us to "阳明山", we will be having our lunch there. Upon reaching the foot of "阳明山", we waited for another supplier and his girlfren, Owen and 小林. While waiting, we took some photos for fun. I saw this notice and decided to take a photo, cos it was interesting...!!!

寻鸟启示 - searching for a bird..!!!???

A pub named "The Pig"!!!???

Dar decided to have some fun with the public phone!
A residential apartment.

Taken at the foot of the mountain!

After about 45mins wait, Owen and girlfen finally arrived! We then drove up to "阳明山"! Halfway up the mountain, we stopped by a restaurant for lunch. It was not a classy restaurant, but it was quite unique. We sat near a pond, where the patrons can fish in the pond. You can choose to sit outside with the public or choose to have some privacy in the little huts, which can accomodate 10pax in each hut.

It was a sumptuous lunch and I felt very satisfied and was in high spirits! Seriously, with such a cooling weather, 整个人觉得精神益益! 真舒服!

We continued driving up the mountain. As we ascend higher up the mountain, it became more n more foggy. Soon our vision of the road ahead of us was just fog. It was pretty dangerous to drive at such conditions. We stopped by the road side to take some photos!

The road ahead!

Now you dun see it, now u do!!!

Suppose to go to "小油坑" to see some formation of the mountain...but it was just too foggy! Did not get to see!
Just saw some bubbling hot water seeping from the ground below. It was stinky...!!!

Since we were not able to see anything due to the thick fog, we then head to "阳明公园". It was the YangMingShan Flower Festival, so seems like we can't give it a miss since we were already there. As it was a weekend (Sunday), all the carparks were fully occupied. We've got to park further away and walked to the garden which was about 20mins walk. Luckily, I wore a comfortable pair of shoes!

Kenny's suppliers - very camera shy, only managed to take their back view...hee!!!
Stopping for some snacks. They had ice-creams and I had this:

More photos:

Spending almost the whole day there, we left the place in the evening. Had a drink @ Starbucks before leaving "阳明山"!

The long walk out and the shy hosts!
