** October Backlog - Day Out to Hort Park **

1 Oct'08, Children's Day

We were cracking our brains on how to spend the public holiday meaningfully. In the end, moi decided the day's itinery. Thus, off we went to Hort Park which was near our place to have an outdoor photo shoot session.
The weather was great and after lunch, we brought along our Sanyo camcorder, tripod and remote control. Initially, we were still worried that there might be a crowd and the tiny carpark might be fully occupied. Fortunately, we found ourselves a carpark lot after touring one round of Alexandra. There wasn't an over-whelming crowd either.

Some flowers and landscape photo shoots when we were at the entrance.

We walked further in to explore other areas. As we walked, we setup our tripod and took more photos of ourselves! =P

We failed to charge the camcorder earlier, so the battery ran out when we were sight-seeing half way.
Anyway, we took quite a number of photos and videos, but just too lazy to post everything here.
Overall, we managed to walk though the whole park despite moi being tired towards the end.
Though nothing special, at least it was a day well-spent. :)

** September Backlog - House-warming @ SX & HL's Loft **

Jojo suggested a monthly gathering. Initially, wanted to have the gathering @ our place. Then decided to do it @ SX & HL's new place as they had just moved in. Just right for a house-warming gathering.

Ken and I can't be happier cos we are staying a stone's throw away from them. ;)

Although staying near them, we were the last to arrive. Pai seh!!!

The hosts ordered Thai cuisine from the caterer. The theme for this gathering is "Lantern Festival".
Each couple were to bring mooncakes to celebrate "中秋节".
Ken n I brought durian snowskin mooncakes from Four Season Durians and assorted mini snowskin mooncakes as well. Specially wanna to mention about Felin's mooncakes, she brought hm-made agar agar mooncake and it was my first time seeing that, I'm pretty impressed. Haha!!!

Guess which are the agar agar mooncakes?

Ah Siang aka happy boy with red lantern.

Mums-to-be!!!
Let's celebrate Lantern's Festival!!!

** August Backlog - Hendersonwaves **

We were hoping for a good weather, so that we can bring Roxie for a walk at the Hendersonwaves. About 25 weeks pregnant, I dun think I have stamina to walk the whole of the Southern Bridges. Thus, we will only conquer Hendersonwaves which is pretty reasonable for me and Roxie...hahaha!!!

Well, the weather was realli unpredictable, halfway through the walk, it started to drizzle. We were at Fort Canning then. So we decided to walk back to Hendersonwaves where we first started before the rain became heavier. Surprisingly, there were alot of tourists. Hmm, they are mostly from China.
Fortunately, it was only when we reached the carpark before the rain got heavier. What a spoilsport!!!
We brought Roxie for a shower at the groomer, while waiting for her, we went to have Dim Sum @ Bt Merah Central. After all the morning affair, home sweet home for a rest and relac afternoon. :)

** August Backlog - Gathering @ Coris **

It was a Friday nite, we had a gathering specially for our fren, Eddie aka Ah-Dee. Well, he's leaving for Middle East again. Another 4 months overseas. Thus, we had a farewell dinner for him. Our Coris hosts ordered Thai mini buffet for the night. I bought chocolate brownie as dessert for the nite.

Ken-san was out of town, but will be back that very nite. So, our gentleman - Ah Siang picked me at my office and off we went to Coris. If not, preggy moi had to take MRT with the heavy box of brownie. Thanks man!
