** Our New Toy **

To welcome our baby, we bought our first video camera. Though not a very popular brand, we liked its light-weight and the easy handling of the video cam. Moreover, it's user-friendly. It comes with remote control too.

We have used the video cam on two occasions, still do not have the time to download the video & images yet.
Will do so pretty soon. Hahha!!!
Stay tune!

** Mathias's First Birthday **

24 Aug'08, Sunday. It has been raining for the past few days. So I thought today's weather should be getting better. I'm so looking forward to the BBQ @ Aloha Changi, to celebrate Mathias's first bday as well.

However, the sky decided to stay gloomy as usual. Mathias's bday was held @ Aloha Changi, a 2-storey chalet which has a sea view....ooohhh...so shiok....!!!

Many of our secondary school friends were invited. Even Radha who was married to India after sec school was there. She had her first child just 4mths back, and she's a real darling. But she's returning to LA soon with her hubby. Is it LA? Or did I remembered wrongly, aiyah nvm lah. We can still keep in touch even though she's far away from us.

The chalet was packed with friends and relatives of Shane and Imelda. Mathias must be thrilled with all his bday presents stacked on the table.

Photos as proof...

Some other adorable photos...

The cake-cutting session...

In the end, I waited and waited for the rain to stop, hoping we can have BBQ.
To my disappointed, the rain decided to continue the whole night.
We gave up waiting for the rain to stop, we ended up having dinner at Changi hawker.
Well, I have not been there for quite awhile, so nasi lemak, stingray, hokkien mee, here I come.

** A Short Post **

I'm always not a supporter of Made In China products.
Not in the past, not now, not even in the future.

I'm absolutely terrified by the way the manufacturers produce their products.
It's not once, but there are so many reports about these flawed products till I lost count.

With tainted milk products reported everyday in the news, how can consumers do their marketing at ease?
Marketing at the supermarket should be an enjoyable, relaxed therepy for most working adults. But not now, at least not for me.

I will stay more vigilant when marketing for groceries now. I will boycott all Made In China products especially products which we put into our mouth. Call me kiasu or kiasee, I dun care!

I can't afford any blunder as I'm now 28 weeks into my pregnancy. I regretted having ice-cream (not Wall's) secretly, cos my hubby has been reminding me not to eat ice-cream. Well, obviously I did not heed his advice.

I thought occassional indulgence is ok, but thinking back, why am I putting my baby's health at risk?
In case some of you do not know, pregnant ladies can't eat raw product especially raw egg yolk. And raw egg yolk is one of the ingredient in ice-cream. I feel so guilty now, sorry baby!

Really hope my baby will be born in pink of health. Really praying hard.
Well, who won't want a healthy baby?

I will curb my bad eating habits from now on. It's never too late!

** Spectacular Fireworks **

It's a once a year event. Post-National Day fireworks display from various countries.

I have watched one many years back, haha...dun even know when it started. :)

This time I watched it with my family. We settled dinner at Suntec before walking to where the floating platform is. Unfortunately, it was drizzling. The rain got heavier when we were seated. Everyone started to open their brolly and children started to wear their poncho.

There were some pre-fireworks performance to keep us entertained. However, our views were mostly blocked by opened brollys and spectators who came late. So we just waited patiently for the show to start.

Miraculously, when the emcee announced that the fireworks is going to start in another 5mins, the rain stopped. We began to keep our brollys and whipped out our cameras to wait for the moment.

Before the show starts:

Finally, after the long wait.

If I can remember correctly, this firework display was by Korea. I did not watched the one from France.
Thus, I can't make a comparison. But I thought it was pretty amazing liao, cos we can watched the fireworks at such a close-up. I'm easily contended. (",)
When the fireworks was coming to an end, the rain came back again. Isn't this incredible?
After the fireworks, dear and I went to walk at the bazaar located downstairs. My family left for home first.
We made a wise choice by taking public transport cos my sister smsed me that night telling me they were stucked in the carpark for about an hour. Phew...!!!
Still, a great night spent!
