Oh my, oh my...it's August liao, 3rd quarter of the year! Time realli flies!

Last Friday, 17 Aug'07, our company had a quarterly communication held in Vivo GV Max.
This was to update the employees abt the organisation & the direction which it's moving towards. All the staff was given an extra day off due to a 2 digits growth in the 1st quarter.

That's a very gd news indeed!

After the talk session, we watched "Rush Hour 3" starring Jacky Chan & Chris Tucker. The storyline was about the same as 1 & 2, but at least they have not cut back on the humorous part.

The movie ended at 3pm and we were to free to go off for the day.

Being a shopping queen, how can I missed such a wonderful opportunity to shop @ Vivo rite!

Thus, after parting with my colleagues, I 1st went to GAP to get gifts for Shirleen's newborn (Kenji). I'm invited to the baby shower on Sat. I bot 2 rompers respectively frm GAP & LifeBaby. The little rompers are realli mini & cute..hahaha!!!

As for moi, of coz I didnt go home empty handed, I bought a sling handbag & a bag accessories before deciding to call it a day. Went to get my hair rebonded and chopped. Grew tired of my curly hair liao...so it's time for a change. Personally, I still prefer long, straight hair.

I promised not to do anything major for my hair for the next few years.

Brought my mum & sister to Vivo City for an interesting local movie production, "881".

My mum only watches local production movie, especially Jack Neo's!
"881" is from another director, Royston Tan. First time watching his show & heard many gd reviews of "881". Thus, expectation is quite high when I decided to watch this movie.
Verdict: A very touching movie, abit 无理头 but funny! I have nt heard of the hokkein songs frm the movie, some of the songs are quite nice indeed. I gave this movie a rating of 7/10!
After the movie, we shopped @ Vivo cos it was my mum 1st visit. It was pretty crowded that day but I hoped she had an enjoyable day!

** July'07 Updates **

2 bdays celebrations, 1 mambo nite & 1 kala kala session!

We have 2 bday boys in July and realli cracking our heads to plan for the surprise as both bdays are like 2 days apart. Eddie's bd on 25th and Nicholas's bd on 27th. We wanted the best out of both world. Thks to the brilliant mastermind, Jo-san for coming up with the idea of killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

We planned to have the surprise on one of the Sundays, which we have our regular exercise regimen. Without arousing any suspicious, we gathered to meet @ the basketball court near my place in the evening. The 1st attack was on Eddie. Felin was to buy a bday cake for Eddie and gave him a surprise while he's playing basketball with the guys (Plan A).

Earlier on, Ken & I bought a bday cake meant for Nicholas and hv it sat in our fridge for the 2nd attack on Nicholas (Plan B).

On 15 July'07, Sunday, all including Nicholas knew about the bday surprise for Eddie. (Nicholas knw nothing about his own bday attk...hiak hiak hiak). The guys proceed with a game of basketball & soccer while Jo & I waited patiently for Felin to arrive wif the cake.

Felin gave us a call & we went to meet her nearby to prepare the candles on the cake.

Jo & I walked ahead of Felin (who's holding the cake), trying to hide the cake out of sight frm Eddie. When we were halfway at the court, Felin lit up all the candles & while approaching the guys, we will sing the Happy Bday song with a cue. Not to mention, Eddie got his bday surprise as planned. He was perspiring frm head to toe while we sang the bday song.

Plan A was rolled out successfully. Yeah!

Plan B was to roll out at my place. Thus, we told Eddie there's a sabotage session for him at our place. The real motive was to surprise Nicholas. So here we go!

The ladies took the lift to my place 1st, so we have ample time to bring out the bday cake & prepare the candles. Jo-san then told Eddie about Plan B which he was clueless about prior to this. So the plan continued smoothly. Nicholas realli tot that we are gg to sabo Eddie at our place, he was walking into our trap as planned...hahaha!!!

While the ladies were at the kitchen preparing the cake (coincidently, Felin & I bought the same cake from the same bakery & it was the same flavour as well), Nicholas & the rest of the guys were coming up. When they stepped into our living room, I was holding the cake and we all started to sing the bday song again. Nicholas not knowing wat's gg on tot we are singing it a 2nd time for Eddie. When he saw everyone was looking at him singing, he finally realised the cake & the song were meant for him. Imagined the look on his face when he was singing the song which he tot was meant for Eddie to when he realised the truth. Realli very comical sia!

I must announced proudly both plans was rolled out successfully and we had a great time laughing! Amidst the tiredness aft the exercise, sweat & minor injuries, it was one of the best bdays attk so far!

Dinner @ nearby hawker & more photos taken by the roadside...anytime, anywhere!!!

We ended the nite with a few games of bowling at Mt Faber Safra.
Verdict: Pleasant surprise for the 2 big boys, hope they have enjoyed the fun!

More to come...CAUTION: Not meant for the weak heart...Hahahah!!!!

Outta the bluzzz...someone suggested to go Mambo, hoping to reminisce their poly times when they rather go Zouk than to study for exams??? Hmm...bad students...heee!!! (Of coz not moi)

Being a super onzzz group, 25 July'07, Wed, we have a date with Mambo...!!!
Though most of us need to work the next day, we've given ourselves valid excuses. It was Eddie's bday & Nicholas's Lunar bday...so got to celebrate again...so lamed...!!! ;)

We had dinner @ the hawker centre & then proceed to Zouk!

Frankly speaking, I have not been into the clubbing scene since dun knw when. Mambo nite...seemed rather unfamiliar yet familiar...wat am I toking man...!!!

When I saw those "youngsters" & one uncle standing at the dance floor grooving to the retro music & doing all the hand gestures for every verse, tell u man...realli wanna roll on the floor & laugh!!! It's realli comical but yet I must say, 我很佩服 them...able to think of all the hand gestures, realli innovative!!! I can't believe it, I was dancing along with them in the end, trying to catch up with their difficult to follow gestures. Well, maybe 我老了!!!

Nevertheless, it was still a memorable nite!

** SoMe LaTe UpDaTeS - JuNe 2007 (Part I) **

Ok, I hv not been updating my blog regularly, pardon me...!!
Missed out quite a number of eventful updates.

1st - It was Ken's bday in June'07.

Attacked him at home on a weekday after work. Definitely a pleasant surprise!!!

The Plan: Moi called Ken n "lied" to him saying I'm working late, ask him to wait for me at hm.
Then all of us will showed up with a cake n bday song...!!! No pre-empt, no anticipation or watso ever!!! Hiak hiak!!!
The sequence went like this:
Part I:
All of us gathered at the market near my place. And to make sure that Ken is at home, Mr Eddie-san made a phone call to my place n look for "Ah Huat"...and heng ah...Ken cannot recognised his voice! Made our way up to the 9th floor - using the lift nearer to my flat!
(Oh yah, nearly forgot, we hijacked the pizza man downstairs of my block. We were so worried that he will delivered the pizza straight to my place, luckily the pizza guy gave Jo-san a call when he reached! Heng ah...or else Ken will be wondering how come got pizza delivered to our place... :P)
==> ==>
Lighting up the candles @ the stairs-landing. Slowly, quietly & discreetly approaching my flat. Thennnnn......all of us started singing the Happy Bday song at the door (surprisingly, Roxie did nt do her usual barking stint, so realli caught him by surprise)
==> ==>

Part II:
After the cake-cutting session, it's dinner time!

Followed by some sabotage on the bday boy. Concoction by the "world-best" bartenders!!!
Bday boy drank it all...steady boon pipi!!!

Part III:
A game of "Bluff"

Present opening by bday boy:

Last but not least, photo-taking session not to be missed!
