** Dim Sum @ Ah Yat **

My family have not had dim sum together for quite awhile, thus, I rally all for Dim Sum @ Ah Yat (Turf City). 40% discount on weekends, why not?

It was as usual, a sunny Sunday afternoon. Plenty of carpark lots and it's free. Actually I kind of like gg to Turf City. Plenty of makan places and Giant is located there too.

We ordered a table full of dim sum. Must order items like Har Kow, Siew Mai, Carrot Cake, Steam Pork Ribs, Char Siew Bao, Egg Tarts and many other typical dim sum dishes. The captain thought we ordered too much but we finished the table of food and ordered more...hahah!!!

Although I'm not a prawn person and most dim sum contain prawn, I still ate to my heart's content. We ordered Peking Duck too and it was oh-so delicious. The overall rating of food is 4.5/5 stars. Prompt service, ingredients are fresh and food are tasty, nothing much to complain about! Well, the restaurant was packed with diners. There are 2 other branches but I'm not sure if standards are the same. One is at Shaw Tower, the other is at Allson Hotel.
Overall damage: $200+ for 11 of us!

Hahaha...she was imitating me!!!

** Sunday Morning **

Mr Loh suggested an impromptu visit to Food Fair @ Expo, so off we go!!!

It was a wet and cooling Sunday, thus I geared Princess Jade with turtleneck romper matched with long pants and warm socks. Well, call me kiasu, just to ensure my darling will not catch a cold. Btw, expo can be realli cold at times.

I know it' wrong to be pushing a stroller @ a food fair. Though we are not the only one to do that, but I can realli feel ourselves being a nuisance by pushing the stroller through the crowded lanes with people dying to try all the food..hahah!

After trying to squeeze through, Jade and I ended near the corner of the entrance while Ken went to look around. Actually, our main purpose was not for the food. Hahaha!!!

I did ended up trying Hokkaido ice-cream and Japanese sausages though!
While waiting, I took out my camera and began snapping photos of Jade n myself, yes again!
What's new right?

After spending less than an hour at the food fair, I grabbed the opportunity to go to John Little Mega Sales at the next exhibition hall. There was NATAS travel fair at Hall 6 as well. Saw many people lugging luggages, must be the free gifts from the travel fair. Then I saw this travel fair poster: "Spend $5000 and get a free luggage"!

I'm wondering, wow, Singaporean are very rich hor, almost everyone who came out from the travel fair lugged a luggage with them, thus they must have spent $5k or more for travel. So much so for economic crisis, hmmm....!!!

Didn't buy alot of things frm JL Mega Sales, we went home to do hsework after that.
Later in the evening, we had steamboat at Mei Chin hawker centre.

** Celebrating "外公's" Bday! **

The old Singapore Badminton Association was closed down for other development.
Now, it's occupied by a food court.

Since Dad's bday was just round the corner, decided to try the "Cze Char" stall there. "Song & Song Live Seafood", we made a reservation a few days in advance.

It was an Alfresco dining as I mentioned it was one of the stall in a food court.
The table was abit too small for 12 of u. (Dat's their biggest table)
As we were there slightly after 6pm, it was still sunny and thus it was pretty warm. We were hoping for sunset soon! We hope that it will not rain and thankfully it didnt.

We ordered dishes like hot plate deer meat, sweet n sour fish, shrimp paste chicken, black pepper and chilli crab, noodles, vegetables and some other typical cze char dishes.

As I was suffering from food poisoning just the day before, I did not dare to indulge much on the sumptuous dinner. I tried on the pepper crab and skipped the chilli ones. And surprisingly, the meat was juciy and tasty, the black pepper was delicious, comparable to those @ Telok Kurau! For black pepper crab lovers, can try their Black Pepper Crab, personally I liked it.

The total bill came up to $200+.

Overall, I gave a rating of 3.5/5 stars. Apart from no aircon, no bigger tables, delay in serving food (it was pretty crowded that day) and our cereal prawn didnt turn up on our table, the food was considered tasty.

I didnt take any photos apart from the chilli crab. I was busy taking photos of my darling Jade instead. Change of focus once u became a mum, hahah!!!

Some photos for your viewing pleasure!

Jade: Must clean hands before u eat ok.
Tammie jie jie, come I help you to open the wet tissue packet with my strong teeth!

Jade: Give me the camera, I help to take photo.
