** TeaM BonDinG DaY & AnnOuCeMenT DaY - 070907 **

IT'S FRI...our team bonding day with the Marcom dept.
We will be having team bonding regularly. Every time, it will be with a different dept.

I met my colleagues at Yishun MRT station. I was late, pai seh pai seh! Raymond who was driving, gave us a ride to Safra Yishun, which was about 5-10mins frm MRT.

Upon reaching, we made our way to the shooting range venue. Most of the colleagues were already there. Without further ado, my director started to give a short speech before the team bonding began.

We were divided into 2 grps. We were told to gather into a circle, then stretch our right hands and hold on to another colleague's right hand. Do the same thing with our left hands. By then we were all "tangled" , haha!!! We were supposed to twist n turn ourselves to get out of the mess & form back into a circle without letting go of each other hands. As we have slightly more than 10 in a group, it was already a challenge to hold our right & left hands with another party, needless to say, still need to de-tangle ourselves.

Our team broke further into 2 smaller grps and embark on the task given. At first, it seems impossible, yet we managed to do it!!!! Team work lah!!!

We proceeded to bowling tournament then lunch at Jack's Place.

After lunch, we can't wait to start on the rifle shooting! We were taught by the instructor on how to operate the rifle and how to aim & shoot. It was pretty exciting!

A few rounds later, my arms were aching from carrying the heavy rifle. It was quite a manual chore, but I had fun! It was my 1st attempt!


After the prize giving ceremony and some photo takings, we called it a day.
Some went home, some went karaoke while I went to CT Hall & meet Jojo, Felin & Shaoxing!

We had dinner at Singapore Flying Club (far, far, faraway). This dinner was arranged by Mr Ngern & we were all guessing that he might had a hidden agenda. True enough, he announced that Huiling & himself will be tying the knot in Jan 2008. The annoucement was made, but 女主角 was not at the dinner. So we took this opportunity and grilled SX to tell us how he proposed to HL. Heee...!!!

We went to Felin's place after the dinner. HL joined us after her company dinner. So we continued to ask HL on how SX proposed & admired her ring.
Soon, we will be neighbours as they bought a unit opp us. It was definitely a worth transaction whoa! Convenient location, reasonable price & moreover it's newly built.

We are all looking forward to their ROM...haha...getting excited! =P

Haha...an interesting entry which I wanna share today.

Mahjong Competition 2007.

Must be wondering where, when & what right?

Venue: SPGG

Date: 02 Sept'07

Prizes: Shopping Vouchers (for top 8 players by accumulating total chips for 3 rounds of game)

As an employee of Singtel, I was eligible to sign up for this competition as well as inviting guests to join. Thus, how can Mr Ken Loh missed this opportunity right? I got him registered!!!

This was how 40 tables were arranged:

How it was played:

1st round: 2 hours

2nd round: 1 hour

3rd round: 1 hour

Every round, we were allocated different table.

Results: Top 4 players who walked away with shopping vouchers were all ladies.

Verdict: Mahjong power? Ladies' power or Shopping power?

There was a session of lucky draw...some walked away with mahjong sets...lucky them...!

Ken & I walked away with loads of experience, fun, being entertained and contentment!

** ShoTs FrM N73 **

Sob sob....I dropped my digita camera lately & it's in critical condition. The len was stucked & I simply got no time to bring it to the clinic. It remained stucked for now! Pai seh!!!

So I can only count on the mere 3MP camera of my N73. Pathetic but better than nothing ok!!! At least it's very convenient, just whipped out & snapped...keke!!!

One boring Tues after work, suddenly have craving for waffle. Thus, Dar & I went to Novena Sq.

Came across "Buttercup" while browsing Jo-san's blog & she mentioned waffle frm there. Initially, tot it was a cafe that sells waffles n muffins & wanna have them for dinner. When we got there, realised it's just a shop space, no tables or chairs. We ended up having dinner @ "Pepper Lunch"!

Nevertheless, I still managed to stuff myself with a waffle after having "Pepper Lunch".

Hiak hiak....*tam jiat* lah..no choice..!!! Work harder during the gym session then!

Discovered something interesting mext door...R & R..!!!

Nope, not rock & roll, not rest & relax...it's......Rice & Roll....hhahaha!!! New frm Taiwan..!

Aka...饭团! Choose your ingredients n they stuff it into the rice n flatten it into a rice patty.

Think got 3 types of rice to choose from...brown rice...normal rice...and dun knw wat's the other.

Quite a number of ppl queuing...but I didnt gorge myself with another rice roll of course!

Next visit perhaps...! ;)
